According to details four staff members of UBL were carrying Rupees 14 million from National Bank in a vehicle. Armed men stopped their vehicle near Azadi Chowk double road and after torture of staff snatched Rupees 14 million and escaped.
On information DIG Feroz Shah, Acting DPO Abdullah Afridi and others reached the spot.
DIG ordered demotion and suspension of ASI Mitha Khan incharge Naka at Azadi Chowk and three other offices and instituting department inquiry against them. Four bank employees were also included in the investigation. They include Abdul Hameed Gunman, Sanaullah, Mushtaq.
DPO told that raids were being carried out for arrest of dacoits.
