NAB to file application today to seek arrest warrants of former PM Gilani

ISLAMABAD, (monitoring desk): National Accountability Bureau (NAB)  is all set to seek arrest warrants of former Prime Minister (PM) Syed Yousuf Raza Gilani from Accountability Court in OGRA scandal case.
Sources said NAB will file application in AC today (Tuesday) and try to seek arrest warrants of former PM Syed Yusuf Raza Gilani ..
NAB deputy chairman has accorded approval to file this application. NAB wanted to investigate Gilani in connection with appointment of Tauqir Sadiq as Gilani was issued summons for three times but he did not appear.
Gilani took the plea before the media that he enjoyed immunity being former PM and he would not appear

before NAB or FIA.
As per NAB rules, it can obtain arrest warrants in respect of  any person who fails to appear before it despite being  summoned for  three times.
NAB will produce Tauqir Sadiq, the prime accused in Rs 80 billion OGRA scam today in AC  and try to seek his physical remand for 14 days more.
NAB sources said investigation has yet to be made from Tauqir Sadiq in OGRA scandal case. Important revelations have been made by Tauqir Sadiq during the investigation which has been made so far therefore, more investigation is needed.
Sources said that 7 bank accounts of Tauqir Sadiq, 23 bank accounts of his brother Tanvir Sadiq, 7 bank accounts of his second brother Taufiq Mehmood Sadiq and7 bank accounts of his other relatives have been detected in Pakistan. It has been learnt that all these bank accounts were being run by Tauqir Sadiq.
Sources said million of rupees are lying in these bank accounts. However NAB is conducting investigation to detect offshore  bank accounts of Tauqir Sadiq.
