ISLAMABAD, Islamabad police on Sunday impounded 11 vehicles, 162 motorcycles in different police stations while black papers from 53 tinted glasses vehicle were removed, a police spokesman said.
According to the details, SSP Islamabad Yaseen Farooq directed all zonal officers, SDPOs and SHOs to keep vigilant eye on the mischievous elements
and enhance security at police posts as well as patrolling in the various areas.
Following these directions, various police stations conducted general holdup and impounded a total of 11
vehicles and 162 motorbikes being driven without any authentic documents.
Meanwhile, black papers were removed from 53 tinted glasses vehicles and 47 suspects were arrested during search operation in various areas of the
city. Police teams also recovered 02 illicit pistols along 30 bullets, from
their possession.
The actual aim of the general holdup is to maintain law and order situation in the capital and to curb the criminals’ activities. SSP Islamabad Yaseen
Farooq have appreciated this performance and directed all police officials to further enhance vigilance and security in their respective areas.
