MUZAFFARABAD: At least seven persons were killed and 12 others sustained severe injuries in two different roadside accidents here on Tuesday.
In the suburb area of Pathika, 16 persons boarded on Jamaat- ud -Dawah van were heading to Muzaffarabad from Ghati Gali. Suddenly, it fell into 500 feet deep ravine owing to over speeding resultantly four persons died on the spot including two children and other 12 sustained severe injuries.
It is also claimed that 6 other wounded persons are stated to be in critical condition.
In other incident, a tractor trolley was heading to Mukboza Semari from Neelum valley. When it reached at Teetoal it fell in to Neelum River resultantly three persons died on the spot.
The incident came to light due to the non-carpeting of roads while the roads are completely damaged.
The injured were removed to District hospital Muzaffarabad with the assistance of public but due to poor emergency system they were shifted to CMH.
The citizens also resented and started protest due to non-availability of basic amenities in hospitals and claimed that many injured patients succumbed to injuries on the way to hospital.
The citizens demanded immediate action of Secretary Azad Kashmir in this connection so that the masses would get some relief respectively.
