WASHINGTON, (news agencies): Prime Minister (PM) Advisor for foreign affairs Sartaj Aziz has said that Pakistan has no formula of power sharing in Afghanistan it is there internal matter and we are just trying to help in negotiations.
In an exclusive interview given to Voice of America (VOA) he said that, it is must that all stake holders should collectively find the way of reconciliation to prevent civil war, and to sustain peace in Afghanistan after the exclusion of NATO forces from there.
Sartaj Aziz said that purpose behind his visit to Afghanistan was to invite Afghan president Hamid Karzai to Pakistan and to explain the Policy of Pakistan.He said “As PM Nawaz Sharif said that Pakistan’s policy regarding Afghanistan is non-
interference in internal matters and not to support any specific group in Afghanistan”.
“ We are trying to arrange a meeting between Taliban and High Peace Council that they could fix that with whom and on which points negotiations should be done. It was our effort that this process should start in Doha”, he said
Matter of security and peace is becoming more complicated which should be resolved by negotiations and democratic ways, to conquer with up coming situations, he added.
Aziz stated that it is clear that our interest depends on peace and security in Afghanistan because foreigners stay temporarily here while we have to live together here forever.
Replying to a query regarding role of India in Afghanistan he replied that India has done a lot of developmental work there.
“If foundation of bilateral relations with Afghanistan would be on economy, trade and investment than common man will take benefit from it. I have invited Afghan minister for trade to resolve the difficulties existing on the way of trading corridor”, Sartaj concluded.
