Establishment against dialogues with Taliban: Maulana Fazlur Rehman

ISLAMABAD, (Monitoring Desk): Chief of his own faction of Jamiat Ulema-Islam (JUI), Maulana Fazlur Rehman has said that establishment is against dialogues with Taliban despite support of all political forces.
Talking to journalist here at the Parliament House on Friday, he termed all operations unconstitutional.
Talking about upcoming Presidential elections, Fazl said that the government has assured consultation on presidential candidate.
He said that as most of the members would go home for celebrating Eid with their families, therefore, the

Presidential election should be conducted on July 29 or 30 before August 6.
The JUI-F Chief said, ‘‘Government can overcome all problems if it chooses a right direction for five years; now is the initial stage and a search for direction is underway. A grand strategy is required to overcome national issues’’.
While emphasizing a grand policy for dialogue with Taliban, he further said that it should not be neglected that before election all parties had given agreement to ‘‘FATA Jirga’’ for establishing peace.
Maulana said that dialogues were resumed in Afghanistan despite the fact that many people were also killed there.
In reply to a question he said that the offer for dialogue with Taliban was received; it was delayed and abandoned after Wali-u- Rehman was killed in a drone attack.
‘‘Malala received unnecessary importance, as there are other Malalas as well. Our culture does not permit even slapping of a woman. She has been used internationally for achieving ideological triumphs. History will tell, who killed Malala?’’ he said further.
He said that complete justice should be dispensed in London in the case relating to Altaf Hussain.
He said the KP government was following the footstep of Punjab government.
Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz (PML-N) has appointed its own ministers in the first phase and decision will be made later regarding appointments in second phase.
