Pakistan most important ally, vital for stable Afghanistan: US

WASHINGTON, :US has said that Pakistan is an important partner in supporting a secure and stable Afghanistan and any step contributing to building Pakistan-Afghanistan relations is viewed as "very important".
Briefing newsmen in Washington, the department’s spokesperson Jen Psaki said that Pakistan is an important partner in supporting a secure and stable Afghanistan, which is vital to the security of the region.

Pakistan’s own security and stability is tied to a successful outcome in Afghanistan and any steps that continue to build the relationship between Afghanistan and Pakistan, in our view, are very important.
Replying to a question she said that the US is aware, of course, that Pakistan’s Advisor to the Prime Minister on National Security and Foreign Affairs, Mr. Sartaj Aziz visited Afghanistan this past weekend.
She further said that the US Secretary of State John Kerry will visit Pakistan soon. However the schedule of his visit has not been finalized yet, she said.
