Justice Nasir ul Mulk refuses to hear petition seeking revocation of Musharraf bail

ISLAMABAD, (News Desk): Justice Nasir ul Mulk has refused to hear the petition seeking cancellation of bail granted to Pervez Musharraf remarking “ I don’t want to hear the case.
A 3-member bench of Supreme Court (SC) headed by Justice Nasir ul Mulk was to hear the case but the hearing was adjourned for indefinite period following the refusal from the head of the bench to hear the case.
The petitioner Aslam Ghumman who had filed petition seeking revocation of bail in respect of Pervez Musharraf said during the course of hearing

requested the head of bench  if he did not want to hear the case then a new date be given.
Justice Nasir ul Mulk remarked how could he give new date when he was not hearing the case. The new bench can give the next date, he further remarked.
Earlier a 3-member bench of SC presided over by the Chief Justice of Pakistan (CJP) had heard the petition seeking revocation of bail granted to Pervez Musharraf by Islamabad High Court (IHC).
During the course of hearing CJP had said in his remarks that he could not hear the matter nor would it be proper for him to do so. He directed Chief Justice SC office that the petition filed by petitioner Aslam Ghumman be fixed before another bench.
It may be recalled that IHC had granted bail to Pervez Musharraf and directed him to deposit Rs 500000. The  court had granted bail for want of record.
The petitioner had challenged the IHC decision on granting   bail to Musharraf in SC and prayed the apex court to issue orders for arrest of Pervez Musharraf.
He had taken the plea in his petition that granting  bail by IHC was illegal adding that it was apparently non dispensation of justice as the court had not adopted the criterion set by SC.
