ISLAMABAD (News agencies): Information Minister Pervez Rashid has said Pakistan has sought explanation from Indian government on an Indian officer statement with regard to Mumbai attack and attack on parliament.
“We will give our stance as soon as the explanation from Indian government is received”, he said this in his exclusive talks with Online Thursday.
Responding to a question on senate standing committee on defence demand for making Abbotabad Commission Report (ACR) public he said senate committee on defence is a strong
committee and Mushahid Hussain Syed is a patriotic Pakistani. “Committee plea will be considered seriously by us”, he added.
Regarding Imran Khan’s statement on All Parties Conference (APC) he said every political party has its own opinion. “ We respect his opinion”, he added.
Appointment of chairman NAB is mandate of Prime Minister and opposition leader in National Assembly and both are in contact with each other. No delay has been caused from any side, he indicated. Rana Bhagwan Das name is still there for appointment of chairman NAB, he underlined. But some legal complications are involved therein, he pointed out. Opposition leader is making consultations with his lawyers in this respect, he stated.
To a question on the statement coming from chief minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, he said such are things of immaturity. It does suit to politicians to talk this way, he added.
