Pakistan will continue its support to establish peace in Afghanistan: PM


Islamabad, (Monitoring Desk): Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif said that Pakistan will continue cooperation with the world community for establishment of peace in Afghanistan.
He was talking to British Foreign Secretary William Hague who called on him in Islamabad on Thursday.
The British Foreign Secretary appreciated Pakistan's role for peace in the region particularly Afghanistan.
He said Pakistan is playing a key role in the war on terror.
Matters relating to cooperation in war on terrorism also came under discussion during the meeting.
According to sources, the Prime Minister said

Pakistan wants better ties with all its neighbors including India.
He said backdoor diplomacy has been started with New Delhi to restore peace and dialogue process.
Sharif said better relation with India was his one of first priorities which he believes was better for both countries.
Earlier on Wednesday, the British Foreign Minister, William Hague, has said that MQM Chief Altaf Hussain’s probe is a police issue and UK regime cannot interfere in that matter.
William Hague has arrived in Pakistan on two-day official tour. He called on Federal Interior Minister Chauhdry Nisar Ali Khan and PM’s Advisor on Foreign Affairs’ Sartaj Aziz separately in Islamabad.
The UK Foreign Minister said in his joint media briefing with Sartaj Aziz that Pakistan and Britain would continue working for peace and stability in Afghanistan. He said on the occasion that India and Pakistan both are friends of the Britain.
While replying a question over Altaf Hussain’s ongoing probe by the Scotland Yard, Hague said that it is a police issue and the British government cannot meddle into that.
