Pak Army netball players attack on Balochistan team

ISLAMABAD: At one end confidence-building measures are the need of the hour to bring lasting peace in the restive Balochistan, while on the other end a scuffle between the Pakistan Army netball team and Balochistan team was not a good thing to happen during the National Games.
A fight broke out between players of Pakistan Army and Balochistan on Tuesday in a Netball Bronze Medal Match here in the Sports Complex during the on-going National Games 2013.
Tension triggered during the closing moments of the game, while Pakistan Army netball players lost their

temper and attacked physically over the Balochistan team after winning the match.
Four players of Balochistan team sustained injuries in the brawl. Players of Balochistan netball team who sustained injuries include: Rashid (Captain), Ahmad Nawaz, Saddam Hussain and Shahid.
Contingent leader of the Balochistan, Ghafoor Baloch told Online that the Pak Army team showed no discipline in any game. We would protest against the incident. “We are planning to lodge FIR against the Pak Army players. We have come here from far-flung area of Pakistan for promotion of sports. Instead of giving respect to the Balochistan team, Pak Army players scuffled with our players”, he stated.
Another representative of the Balochistan contingent, Dr. Farhan said that it’s very unfortunate incident and these things should not happen in the games. “What message Pak Army team has sent to the restive province after beating our players”, he said. (Sports Desk)
