ATC orders for immediate production of Pervez Musharraf in Akbar Bugti murder case


QUETTA, (Staff Reporter): Anti Terrorism Court (ATC) Quetta has issued orders for immediate production of former president Pervez Musharraf before it in Nawab Akbar Bugti murder case.
Hearing of Akbar Bugti murder case was held in Balochistan High Court and ATC Quetta separately on Monday.
ATC comprising Muhammad Ismail Baloch took up the murder case for hearing. Crimes Branch presented the challan of Pervez Musharraf in the court.
The court issued production order of Pervez

Musharraf  and ordered Crimes Branch to immediately produce him before it.
Crimes Branch in the mean time presented investigation report in respect of former prime minister Shaukat Aziz and former DCO Dera Bugti Samad Lasi.
The court expressed dissatisfaction over the report and rejected it besides issuing the directives that the report be presented in the court again on the next hearing.
The hearing of the case was adjourned till July, 30.
A division bench of Balochistan High Court (BHC) comprising Justice Ghulam Mustafa Mengal and Justice Naeem Afghan took up for hearing the petition filed against rejection of bail plea of Pervez Musharraf.
Sohail Ahmad Rajput represented Nawabzada Jamil Akbar  Bugti   Advocate General (AG) Balochistan did not appear in the court.
The court while issuing orders in connection with appearance of AG Balochistan on next hearing adjourned the hearing of the case till July 22.
Talking to Online after hearing of the case, Sohail Ahmad Rajput told that the reservations they  had been expressing from the very first day  with reference to investigation process have proved correct. Investigation process is not heading towards right direction despite the fact BHC has issued crystal clear  orders  in this regard.
Pervez Musharraf is prime accused in this case but he is not being treated like ordinary prisoners and he is sitting in posh home and he has been quizzed  nominally in this case.
Replying to a question he said the incumbent government is also not sincere in brining the murderers of Pervez Musharraf to justice and on the other hand endeavors are underway to provide him protection.
