According to Assistant Commissioner Alam Faraz, security forces conducted a raid in Chaman to recover Ziaur Rehman, kidnapped from Quetta.
During the exchange of fire, one security official was killed while four kidnappers sustained wounds, but managed to get away with the kidnapee.
