Govt starts practical measures for Ziarat residency revival


QUETTA: Provincial government has undertaken practical measures for revival of historic Ziarat Residence named after Father of the Nation Quaid e Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah in its original shape.
Official sources said here Sunday government believes that this building of national importance would be restored to its original shape at the earliest.All resources were being mobilized int his connection.
The building was destroyed in an act of terrorist. Former provincial Chief Secretary Mirza Qamar Beg under whose supervision renovation and repair fo Residency was carried out in 1999-2000 is heading a committee of noted architects, engineers and experts of historic asset have presented their services

voluntarily for it.
Well known architect Nayyar Ali Dada and Kamil Khan Mumtaz visited the site in Ziarat Friday and Saturday and submitted their guidelines and recommendations for restoration of the building. In the light of these, practical steps have been taken for restoration of this historic asset. It is decided that provincial government in minimum possible time would ensure restoration of Quaid e Azam residency in its original shape. Monitoring Desk
