British PM Cameron wraps up two-day visit to Pakistan


ISLAMABAD: British Prime Minister David Cameron Sunday departed from Pakistan wrapping up his two-day official visit to the country.
The British premier and his entourage was seen off at Nur Khan Airbase, Chaklala by Minister for Science and Technology Zahid Hamid, British High Commissioner Adam Thomson and senior officials of the high commission and the foreign affairs ministry.
A contingent of Pakistan Air Force stood alert lined with the red carpet when David Cameron was

proceeding towards his special aircraft.
Cameron reached Pakistan after meeting his troops at Helmand, Afghanistan and meeting Afghan President Hamid Karzai. He has now proceeded to Kazakhstan on two-day official visit.
During his two-day visit, the British Prime Minister called on President Asif Ali Zardari and discussed the Afghan-led peace process and the scenario in the backdrop of withdrawal of NATO led International Security Assistance Force (ISAF) mission from Afghanistan, by the end of 2014.
On Sunday morning, Cameron visited Pakistan Monument and interacted with youths coming from across Pakistan who also briefed the dignitary about the gigantic structure.
Later, he met his counterpart Muhammad Nawaz Sharif and both the dignitaries addressed a joint press conference in which both the dignitaries resolved to further expand bilateral ties.
Moments before he got into his special aircraft, Cameron was presented a photo album depicting his activities during his two-day visit. (News Agencies)
