In an interview on Friday (June 28)‚ Secretary Finance Dr. Waqar Masood Khan said those IPPs who had gone to court have agreed to withdraw the case against the government after payment of their outstanding dues.
He said the IPPs have been asked to enhance power generation to cope with the load-shedding.
It is expected that there will be some respite in loadshedding after the payment made to IPPs. AFP
