SC adjourns hearing of petition seeking Musharaff trial till July 3

ISLAMABAD (Monitoring Desk) – A three-member bench of the Supreme Court headed by Justice Jawad S Khawaj resumed the hearing of Pervez Musharraf treason case on Friday.
Counsel of Pervez Musharraf, Ibrahim Sati said that yesterday it was informemed that the court had reserved the judgment.
On this Justice Jawad S Khawaja said the order could not be got noted down day before due to several cases of missing persons and it was construed as if we have reserved judgment.


He remarked that justice will be provided to Pervez Musharraf and there will be fair trial in his case as per Article 10-A of the Constitution.
Musharraf’s counsel Qamar told the court that proceeding of the case should be suspended as there was no justification of that after submission of the government’s response.
Justice Jawad S Khawaja remarked that he should not dictate the court on how to conduct the proceedings.
The court adjourned the hearing till July 3.
